Many of the concepts we employ were inspired by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Center of Excellence in Park City, UT.
We offer some of the most comprehensive options for muscle stimulation in the Midwest utilizing Emsculpt Classic, Emsculpt NEO, and TruSculpt Flex. These technologies are exponentially more robust than those found in conventional medical settings. Emsculpt Neo, for example, is considered a “Supra-physiologic” workout allowing the muscle group treated to engage up to 98 percent of the cross sectional fibers (a normal person would engage approximately 40% of the fibers and a pro athlete 55-60 % of the fibers). Additionally the brain and spinal cord are bypassed with the machine directly stimulating the motor neuron within the muscle faster than physiologically possible . This is why we refer to the session as a “supraphysiologic” workout which is not a medical term, but rather highlights the incredible efficiency of the device and the fact that it can provide a better workout than physiologically possible in a shorter time frame.
We can provide up to 54,000 contractions in 15 minutes or 20,000-40,000 contractions in 30 minutes resulting in muscle gain of 30% , 25% , or 18% depending on the device.

We have helped numerous elite high school, amateur and collegiate athletes including recently drafted MLB pitcher and former Hawkeye Cade Obermeuller and Sakari race team cyclist Holden Berg among many others.
When injuries happen, we are able to rehabilitate athletes maintaining strength without weight bearing, speeding recovery and returning to sport quicker and stronger. Back or knee pain for example can often be improved or alleviated with Core and Quadriceps strengthening performed while at rest. Emsculpt Neo now offers a functional setting as well which is less intense HIFEM (muscle contractions) paired with Radiofrequency (RF). This combination allows to gently contract injured muscles with low RF (heat) to help speed muscle recovery and/or regain strength after an injury that would not allow full Emsculpt Neo traditional settings. The low RF setting also allows for increased collagen and elastin production which helps heal injured ligaments and tendons. Finally, the specific contraction sequences / electromagnetic pulses promote Neural modulation retraining injured nerves and calming overactive nerves resulting in improved function and decreased pain returning to a physiologic state in many areas.
We have seen clients with 8/10 pain go to 0/10 in as little as two treatments . Results of course vary, but again, we have witnessed numerous clients with a significant response following just a few sessions. This technology can also speed bone healing and reduce muscle spasm which Dr. Berg personally experienced after suffering broken ribs in a cycling crash incident. 4 treatments and he was able to resume normal activities / riding approximately 2.5 weeks following the injury which usually requires 6-12 weeks. We have seen other clients with De-Quervain’s tenosynovitis or other overuse injuries of the wrist improve rapidly. The functional setting has been a game changer for clients with back pain as well. There are numerous use cases for the functional treatment setting which we are expanding daily.

EMSCULPT tones and strengthens abdominal and gluteal muscles effortlessly and pain free by using high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology, similar to a TENS unit on steroids. It induces “supra-maximal” contractions, which cannot be obtained through typical exercise (engaging up to 98% of the muscle fibers in contraction) while also bypassing the brain and spinal cord to stimulate the motor neuron directly in the muscle. These contractions force the muscle tissues to adapt to such extreme conditions causing a deep remodeling of the inner structure; a growth of myofibrils (muscle hypertrophy) and creation of new protein strands and muscle fibers (muscle hyperplasia). This results in increased muscle density and volume. Fat is secondarily burned and destroyed as a beneficial side effect.
A 30-minute treatment is equivalent to performing 20,000 crunches or squats. You may experience some muscle soreness for 24-48 hours. A typical treatment is for 30 minutes with a recommended 4 sessions scheduled over 2 weeks. Results are usually seen within 2-4 weeks and you can expect to have continued improvement over a six month period.
There were 7 different clinical studies conducted in the United States using the EMSCULPT to confirm fat loss and muscle tightening. Before and after CT scans, MRIs, and Ultrasounds were taken in the study groups which all corroborated the results. 1 month results showed that muscle mass increased consistently by 16%, the average abdominal fat loss was 19%, and waist circumference decreased by 4.4 cm (1.7 in). No risks were identified in these studies. The most recent data showed 6 month results were even better – 18% increase in muscle mass and 23% fat reduction.
Ideal candidates are individuals with a BMI 30 or below. To see muscle improvements, the fat layer can’t be too thick (less than an inch of pinchable fat). However, the HIFEM waves do penetrate up to 7 cms. Patients with larger fat deposits might require CoolSculpting for reduction prior to receiving the EMSCULPT procedure.
